From Engineering Requirements to Intelligent Machines
How can Artificial Intelligence transform the way industrial systems are engineered — and how can these digital engineering concepts connect with Physical AI and robotics?
At Startup Nights 2026, EIRAS will present its vision of System-Level Generative Engineering as part of the Smart Machines event organised by the Winterthur Chamber of Commerce.
Under the title “Smart Machines Live – Generative Engineering Meets Physical AI”, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans Wernher van de Venn and Kiavash Fathi will explore how emerging AI technologies can connect customer requirements, intelligent engineering processes and physical automation.
The interactive showcase highlights the potential of combining Generative Engineering, Digital Twins, Industrial AI and Physical AI to advance the development of intelligent and adaptable manufacturing systems.
Advancing Generative Engineering at EIRAS
At EIRAS, we investigate how agentic AI, machine-readable capabilities and reusable engineering knowledge can support the generation of technically grounded industrial system configurations.
Our ongoing CRAFT-AI research provides an initial demonstrator of this approach and forms part of our broader vision of increasingly intelligent, capability-based and adaptive engineering processes.
