Why the Digital Product Passport matters for manufacturers now

July 4, 2026 · marcin

The EU Digital Product Passport is often discussed as a compliance topic — something to deal with when the deadlines arrive. We think that framing undersells it. The companies that treat the DPP as a data-architecture question rather than a reporting obligation will end up with product data that is identifiable, structured, and shareable — a foundation for services, circularity, and customer value that goes far beyond the regulation.

In our research we focus on open building blocks for exactly this: standardized identification of products, interoperable data models, and access-controlled sharing across the value chain. If your organisation is starting its DPP journey, we are happy to compare notes.
